IntroductionHere are my first attempts at e-books. The first three titles are currently formatted only to Microsoft Reader format, hence this page's former name of Dawtrina.lit. You can download Microsoft Reader for free. MS Reader works under Windows on desktop PCs and laptops as well as on the Pocket PC platform.I much prefer the older version of MS Reader (version 1.5) which I use to read my e-books on an old and battered HP Jornada 545 Pocket PC. As far as I'm concerned, the newer version (version 2.1) sucks. Now, when I read e-books on a PC I avoid MS Reader entirely and go straight to Spacejock Software's yBook. You can also download yBook for free. I intend to add further books in the future and also to offer alternative formats. The .lit format was all I needed when I created these, but I dislike proprietary formats more and more every day. Hence the most recent addition, Jack Gage's Greek Adventure is available in various formats. I designed the first three books for my own use, but feel free to copy them to read yourself. There are no copyright restrictions. I formatted two from Project Gutenberg originals and the third is in the public domain. However, I scanned and proofed Greek Adventure to be a public information source. As it was only ever published in South Africa, I do not know its global copyright status.
