By contrast there are five years for which I've rated less than five films, with 1979 at this extreme. For a long while, Rock 'n' Roll High School was the only film I'd rated for that year and was thus by default both my best and worst movie of 1979! Now at least there are two but I still rated both only OK, which hardly merits either a best or worst of the year!
I'm sure that within a couple of years there will be nothing lower than a Classic on my Best Films list and nothing higher than a Bad on my Worst, except maybe for 1929, as it seems so hard to find decent films from the first real year of sound in the movies.
