Hungary
Our last country stop was Hungary.
This was the great unknown on our trip:
none of us had ever been to Hungary and none of us spoke Hungarian.
After having been spoiled by translators and competent choir members, we were suddenly totally on our own.
But Hungary proved to be well worth the adventure.
I fell in love with Budapest and can't wait to go back there someday.
Our hotel was in the town of Kecskemet, where we also sang our last concert of the tour.
We also took a day trip to the market town of Szentendre, and spent an afternoon at the monestary of Pannonhalma.
Sadly I have mislaid my Budapest photos, but below are other Hungarian experiences.

A photo of Pannonhalma, a very peaceful and all-around lovely Benedictine monestary.
The original building was completed in 1001 and is a UNESCO world heritage site, visited by the Pope in 1996.

Sara and Sarah beside some chilis in Szentendre.

Me with my namesake, spelled a little differently!
