Trnava

Trnava has been called "Little Rome" because of its many steeples. It was founded in the 13th century and was historically a very rich town, however it was completely ravaged during the Communist era. The people of the town rebuilt it, and have done well with few resources at their disposal, but damaged areas remain. We sang a concert in this town, in the Church of St Jacub, which is a functioning Fransiscan monestary.

The Fransiscan monestary where we sang our concert.

An example of communist destruction.
